The Education Department provides in-house and outreach programs for all ages.
The School Programs provide experiential learning in a museum or classroom setting through the use of interactive, grade appropriate discovery worksheets, games and discussion. All school tours and outreach presentations have been designed around the Arizona Department of Educations Curriculum Standards for Social Studies.

El Espejo In Your Class
Museum Docents or Staff present a literacy-based program exploring the history of Mexican Americans in Phoenix. Limited to 4th grade classrooms. Program lasts 60 minutes and is limited to 30 students at a time. You provide a classroom with a sink and chalkboard and we bring the rest!
Docents will travel only to sites within the city limits of Phoenix.

Class sizes are limited to 90 students. The cost for tours or outreach presentations is $3.00 per child and $3.00 per adult. Teachers are free. If the students want a souvenir of their trip to the museum, classes can purchase $1 memento bags, which contain an Arizona flag, Chinese finger puzzle, and a wooden top. Please indicate if you want to purchase memento bags when you book your tour or outreach presentation.
